Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026. Applies to traxx.ng and all Traxx mobile applications.

This policy explains what data Traxx collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We have written it in plain language so it is easy to understand. If something is unclear, email us at contact@traxx.ng.

1. Who we are

Traxx Fleet Intelligence is a Software-as-a-Service platform built for Lagos businesses that operate delivery and logistics fleets. We provide real-time GPS tracking, fleet management tools, and performance reporting through our web dashboard and mobile applications.

When this policy says "Traxx", "we", "us", or "our", it refers to Traxx Fleet Intelligence and the people who operate it.

2. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to:

3. What information we collect

When a business signs up: Company name, CAC registration number, industry, Lagos LGA, company email, company phone number, account owner name, job title, and phone number. We also collect the login email and an encrypted password.

When a rider is registered by their employer: Full name, phone number, vehicle plate number, vehicle type, National Identification Number (NIN), and Bank Verification Number (BVN). NIN and BVN are collected solely for identity verification (KYC) and are processed through a certified third-party identity verification provider.

GPS and location data: When a rider is clocked in and has an active shift, the Traxx Rider App collects GPS coordinates every 5 seconds. This data is linked to the rider's account and stored securely. GPS tracking stops when a fleet manager approves a shift sign-off request.

Usage data: We collect standard technical data such as browser type, device type, IP address, pages visited, and time spent on each page. This helps us improve the platform.

Payment data: Subscription payments are processed by Paystack. Traxx does not store card numbers or bank details. We only receive a payment confirmation and invoice record from Paystack.

4. Why we collect this information

5. GPS data and tracking

GPS tracking is a core function of the Traxx platform. Riders are informed that GPS tracking is active when they are on shift, and the Rider App displays a clear notice that location tracking is running. Tracking activates when a rider clocks in and deactivates when their shift sign-off is approved by their fleet manager.

Fleet managers can view live GPS positions, route history, and GPS replay for any rider in their fleet. This data is shared only with the relevant business account and is not visible to other businesses on the platform.

GPS data retention: Location history is stored for 90 days by default. After 90 days, GPS track data is automatically deleted. Trip records and flag logs are retained for 2 years. You can request earlier deletion by contacting us.

6. How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We share data only in these situations:

We do not share, sell, or rent personal data to advertisers or marketing companies.

7. Data security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. These include SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive information, role-based access controls so only authorised Traxx team members can access production data, and regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at contact@traxx.ng.
